For the last 12 months the Work Group for the A Supportive Community for All has focused on designing a strategic plan to make Human Services more accessible in the Snoqualmie Valley.
The A Supportive Community For All Work Group was not able to meet in person on March 9th. However, the Work Group met by phone and reviewed the proposed solutions.
The Work Group has come up with proposed solutions that were influenced by feedback from the community, stakeholders, providers, and the Community Needs Assessment. The big picture includes actionable plans including:
- Develop a multi-lingual Human Services navigation website and printed guide
- Coordinate personal navigation at several locations in the Upper and Lower Valley
- Explore options for Multi-Service Centers at each end of the Valley
During our phone meeting on March 9th, we reviewed the plans and discussed making a personal commitment to working on at least one area of the plans whether or not additional funding is received from King County. It is clear the Work Group members are committed to the actionable plans whether additional funding is received or not.
The current grant ends in April 2020, and we should receive word soon about a funding extension from King County around these actionable plans. We invite you to visit www.asupportivecommunityforall.org to learn more.
