People are excited about the Snoqualmie Valley Community Needs Assessment! King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert invited the SCFA partner team to brief King County’s Local Services’ Regional Roads and Bridges Committee on our community needs. They’ve also asked us for general updates on all the great work being done for our community. We will update our local elected officials at the November meeting of the Snoqualmie Valley Government Association.

The Work Group is now focused on developing strategies for key areas to improve access to human services. In order to do this work, Work Group members are drawing on the training they received around how systems work, equity, and inclusion. Work group members have commented on how the solutions they had in mind initially don’t quite measure up to the goal of making human services more accessible for everyone in our community.

If you happen to be in touch with a member of the Work Group, be prepared. They may ask for your feedback on the strategies developed in their September 9 meeting. If you want to provide input, please make time to attend the monthly Friends of SCFA meeting held on the third Thursday of each month at 12:15pm (see Events page on website), or contact us through our website.

Strengthening community connections to make human services more accessible in the Snoqualmie Valley.
